The pile-up

You know the drive graveyard.

The same song in four bitrates. Fake 320s that fall apart on a club system. A corrupt file that dies mid-set. Half the genre tags missing. Prepping for a gig turns into an archaeology dig — and you still don't fully trust what's on there. CrateWorkz fixes all of it in one pass, without ever putting your music at risk.

How it works

Four steps, one clean library.

Point it at a drive. It does the heavy lifting, shows you a preview, and only touches anything once you confirm.

STEP 01

Scan & grade

It reads every file and grades its real quality by the sound — catching fake 320s, low bitrate and corrupt files the label hides.

STEP 02

Clean & tag

Strips junk filenames and pool watermarks, and fills in missing genres by learning from the tracks you've already tagged.

STEP 03

Organize

Files everything into clean genre → subgenre folders, BPM-sorted, and sets low-quality and duplicates aside in review folders.

STEP 04

Crate

Builds crates your DJ software reads — by genre, BPM, key, energy, era and best-of — pointing at your files, no audio copied.

Everything it does

Built for how DJs actually work.

The whole toolkit for turning a two-decade, multi-drive collection into something you can lean on at a gig.

Real results

One pass on a real 70,000-track drive.

Measured — not estimated
70,398
tracks read & graded by their actual sound
57,344
flagged below broadcast quality — fake 320s, low bitrate, corrupt
20,767
duplicate copies found — matched by sound, across the drive
19,694
missing genres it could auto-fill with confidence
All of it in a single pass — and nothing deleted. Flagged files move to a Removed / Review folder you control; the good stuff lands in clean, BPM-sorted genre crates.
Good to know

Questions DJs ask first.

Does it touch or delete my music?+
Never deletes. Low-quality, fake and duplicate files are moved into clearly-labeled review folders on the drive — you decide what to erase. Every action is preview → confirm → undo.
Is my music uploaded anywhere?+
No. CrateWorkz runs 100% on your Mac and works in place on your drives. There's no cloud, no account, and your audio never leaves your machine.
Will it work with my DJ software?+
Yes — it writes crates in the format your DJ software reads and tags files so your library columns fill in automatically. The crates point at your existing files, so no audio is copied or duplicated.
How does it catch a “fake 320”?+
It analyzes the actual audio — the frequency content — instead of trusting the bitrate label. A file that says 320 but was upscaled from a 128 gets flagged, so it never surprises you on a big system.
I have several drives. Can it merge them?+
Yes. Consolidate pulls multiple plugged-in drives into one clean master, deduping across all of them by sound and keeping the best copy of each song. The source drives stay untouched until you confirm.
